I was born and raised in Queens, NYC to two wonderful parents who always told me you could do anything if you put your mind to it and always follow your dreams. Well, I did follow my dreams which finally have me breeding my dream breed (Bulldog Frenchies) as a hobby. All of my french bulldogs are my family first and are not just pets or breeding animals they all live in the house with me and sleep in my bed. So, after getting a B.S. in Marketing and a few careers that did not interest me I decided to become a veterinary assistant where I exceled in all aspects of the career problem became that I wanted to do more and the money wasn’t great and I decided I did not want to go back to school in my late 20’s to become a veterinarian which was the only option of upward mobility. So, I went to nursing school instead. I attained my second Bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 2015 and was an Emergency Department RN for 4 years before going back to school yet again to complete my Master’s Degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I only practiced as an NP for a short time as I graduated and started work in the peak of the Covid-19 Pandemic. The intense stress of the Pandemic coupled with running an urgent care in Louisville, Kentucky alone with no supervising physician right out of school proved to be too much for me and I had no choice but to hang up my white coat and retire from the nursing field to preserve my mental health.
